# Amex Centurion Lounges: Every US Location Compared

Every US Amex Centurion Lounge we assessed — when each is worth arriving early for, when to skip it, and who can get in. Status checked 25 September 2026.

> Educational guide — we earn nothing from lounge operators. Priority Pass programme link is not yet configured on TravelShifu (owner action pending L1). Sources named in page; verify live before travel.

## Are Amex Centurion Lounges worth it?

A Centurion Lounge is worth arriving early for when you already hold eligible access, such as The Platinum Card from American Express, and have a long wait at an airport that has one. It is not worth buying a card just for occasional visits. The table covers every US location we assessed.

Access rules, guest allowances and hours are set by American Express and change — confirm them on the Amex lounge page for your airport the week you fly.

TravelShifu has not visited these lounges in person; the table uses operator-published information.

## Which airports have a Centurion Lounge, and when is each worth it?

15 of the US airports we covered have a Centurion Lounge open, according to American Express’s own lounge pages checked on 25 September 2026. Each row gives the location, when a visit is worth arriving early for, and when to skip it.

| Airport | Where it is | Worth it when | Skip it when |

| CLT | Main Terminal, between Concourses D and E ([Amex page](https://www.americanexpress.com/en-us/travel/lounges/the-platinum-card/CLT/The-Centurion-Lounge-Main-Terminal-Concourse-D-E-cp2FkCMVBa/)) | Worth arriving early when you hold confirmed Centurion access on a long CLT international or hub connection and will use showers or sit-down dining. | Skip when your flight departs another CLT concourse and transfer time erases the benefit. |

## Who can get into a Centurion Lounge?

Access comes mainly from The Platinum Card from American Express and the Centurion card, with some business and co-brand products also eligible; guest rules differ by card. You usually need a same-day boarding pass. Check the current rules on americanexpress.com before relying on access.
