## Do award holds make points redemptions worth it?

Holds reduce transfer risk — you lock space before moving irreversible bank points. That alone can make an award "worth it" versus gambling on transfer-then-find-nothing. Programmes without holds (or with 24-hour holds only) push you toward instant-transfer banks or cash backup plans.
