## Are points worth it for positioning flights?

Sometimes — when a cheap award positions you to a hub with saver long-haul space cash cannot reach. Often no — when positioning cash is under £50, when award taxes exceed the feeder fare, or when separate tickets break protection you needed.

Positioning is a means to an end — value the whole itinerary, not the feeder leg alone.

## How do you value a positioning flight on points?

Add positioning award miles plus taxes to the main award all-in. Compare against cash positioning plus main award, and against cash for the entire trip. Only burn points on positioning when cash feeders are high or unavailable on your dates.
