## Are points or cash worth spending on a status run?

Status runs rarely make sense on transferable points — you usually burn valuable miles for economy qualifying credit worth less than the redemption you sacrificed. Cash mileage runs still exist on distance-based international programmes; US revenue-based programmes often make pure status runs irrational unless you fly enough organically.

## How do you evaluate a status run?
