# Jakarta to Bandung Shuttle: Operators, Pool Locations and Luggage Rules

Compare Jakarta–Bandung shuttle vans: Cititrans, Daytrans, Baraya, Lintas and Jackal pools with maps, airport pickups, luggage limits and Whoosh or KAI.

## What is a Jakarta–Bandung “travel” shuttle?

It is a scheduled minivan, called “travel” locally, that runs between fixed pools, usually malls, petrol stations or company offices, in Jakarta and Bandung. You book a numbered seat, check in at the pool and ride the toll road for about two and a half to three hours in normal traffic. It is not door to door.

Indonesians call these services “travel”, as in “naik travel”. Cititrans describes its model as [pool to pool](https://www.cititrans.co.id/en/faq), and Daytrans says passengers depart from and arrive at the Daytrans counter they chose ([Daytrans](https://www.daytrans.co.id/)). Several operators add “virtual” pick-up points, such as bus shelters or minimarkets, where a driver collects you without a staffed counter.

They suit a trip where both ends are near a pool: a hotel in south Jakarta and a stay near Pasteur or Dipatiukur, say. If your Bandung address is far from the pools, the final ride across town can cost as much time as the train. For a city-centre-to-city-centre trip, compare the KAI Parahyangan from Gambir, covered in our [Indonesia train guide](/guides/indonesia-train-guide), and [Whoosh](/guides/jakarta-to-bandung-whoosh) before choosing.

Operators advertise reclining captain seats, USB charging and seat belts (Cititrans) or Wi-Fi, CCTV and GPS tracking (Daytrans). Space is the catch: luggage limits are tight, as the luggage section below explains, and the van leaves on schedule whether or not you are there.

## Which shuttle operators run between Jakarta and Bandung?

The established names are Cititrans, Daytrans, Baraya Travel, Lintas Shuttle and Jackal Holidays, each with its own app, website and pools. We could not verify X-Trans because its old website now shows a domain-for-sale page. Choose by the pools nearest your two addresses first, then luggage rules, check-in time and refund terms.

We checked each operator below on its own website on 16 October 2026. Cititrans ([cititrans.co.id](https://www.cititrans.co.id/en)) runs Executive and Regular shuttles plus an airport service. Daytrans ([daytrans.co.id](https://www.daytrans.co.id/)) lists five Bandung outlets and more than 30 in Jakarta. Baraya Travel ([baraya-travel.com](https://www.baraya-travel.com/)), Lintas Shuttle ([mylintas.co.id](https://mylintas.co.id/)) and Jackal Holidays ([jackalholidays.com](https://www.jackalholidays.com/)) all publish their pools and terms online, and every one of the five has a booking app.

X-Trans was long a familiar name on this route, but xtrans.co.id displayed a “buy this domain” page when we checked, so we have not listed its pools or rules. If you see it on an agent site, confirm the operator’s current contact details and pick-up point before paying.

Online agents also sell services we did not review in depth: on 16 October 2026 12Go listed Bhinneka Shuttle and Primajasa coaches for Jakarta–Bandung. The same checks apply to any operator: who runs it, exactly where it leaves from, and what happens if you miss it.

| Operator | Book via | Check in | Children | Changes and refunds (as published) |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Cititrans | Website, app, pool counter, call centre | At the pool 30 min before; late arrivals forfeit the ticket | Full fare from age 4 | Refund up to 24 h before, minus Rp20,000 (app or website only); one reschedule up to 3 h before |
| Daytrans | Website, app, outlets | At the counter 15 min before | A seat must be bought for children over 2 | Non-refundable; no-shows forfeit the ticket |
| Baraya Travel | Website, app, outlets | At the pool 15 min before | Full ticket for children over 2 or taller than 90 cm | Non-refundable; reschedule up to 15 min before, within one month |
| Lintas Shuttle | mylintas.co.id, MyLintas app, outlets | At the outlet 15 min before | Full fare for children over 2 | Cancellation refunded as a voucher worth 50%; one free reschedule up to 3 h before |
| Jackal Holidays | Website, app | At the pick-up point 30 min before; late arrivals forfeit the ticket | Full fare from age 2 | See its terms page before booking |

## Where are the shuttle pools in Bandung?

Most Bandung pools cluster in a few areas: Pasteur near the toll exit, Dipatiukur and Dago in the north, Cihampelas, and Buah Batu in the south-east. Cititrans, Daytrans, Baraya, Lintas and Jackal all serve Pasteur. Choose the pool nearest your hotel rather than the cheapest seat, because Bandung traffic can swallow the saving.

The table lists the Bandung pools each operator publishes for its Jakarta and airport routes, with a map link for each. Addresses are as the operators give them; Daytrans, for example, lists Jl. Dr. Djunjunan No. 55B for Pasteur, Jl. Cihampelas No. 64N, Jl. Dipatiukur No. 107N and Jl. Terusan Buah Batu No. 298 ([Daytrans Bandung outlets](https://www.daytrans.co.id/outlet/detail?outlet_kota=BANDUNG)).

Watch for confusingly similar names. Cititrans’s newer “Soekarno Hatta” pool is in Bandung, at Jl. Soekarno-Hatta No. 461 near Batununggal, not at the airport ([Cititrans](https://www.cititrans.co.id/en/promo/pool-baru-cititrans-soekarno-hatta-batununggal-bandung-hubungkan-bandung-selatan-dan-bandung-timur-ke-jakarta-tangerang-bandara-soekarno-hatta-jogja-malang)). Jackal Holidays calls its Pasteur and Buah Batu stops “pool transit”, Lintas uses “Pasteur Point”, and Baraya separates pick-up points from drop-off points (“titik turun”), so check which one your ticket names.

For hotels in Dago or near the universities, a Dipatiukur pool is usually the most convenient; for Lembang, Pasteur or Dipatiukur followed by a taxi. Our [Bandung destination guide](/destinations/bandung) and [Getting around Bandung](/guides/getting-around-bandung) cover the city end, and [where to stay in Bandung](/guides/where-to-stay-in-bandung) helps match a hotel to a pool.

## Where do Jakarta–Bandung shuttles pick up in Jakarta?

Every operator has pools across Jakarta, with clusters around Thamrin and Sarinah, Sudirman and SCBD, Semanggi, Jl. Rasuna Said in Kuningan, Blok M, Cikini and Fatmawati. Pick the pool you can reach fastest at your departure time, not the nearest on a map, because Jakarta traffic matters more than distance before a fixed departure.

Cititrans lists Central Park, Fatmawati, HR Rasuna Said, Kelapa Gading and SCBD for its [Executive](https://www.cititrans.co.id/en/executive-shuttle) service to Bandung, and many mall pools for [Regular](https://www.cititrans.co.id/en/reguler-shuttle), including Atrium Senen, FX Sudirman, Pacific Place, Plaza Blok M, Plaza Semanggi and Sarinah Thamrin. Daytrans’s Bandung schedules start from Jakarta outlets such as Blora near Dukuh Atas, Cilandak Town Square, Grogol, Kuningan and Mall Artha Gading.

Baraya’s Jakarta list includes Sarinah, Semanggi, Melawai (Blok M), Kuningan Plaza Festival, Tebet, Slipi, Grogol, Cibubur, Rawamangun and Kelapa Gading ([Baraya outlets](https://www.baraya-travel.com/outlet-open)). Lintas picks up at Blok M, Cikini, Fatmawati, Pancoran, Rawamangun, SCBD (beside Menara Mandiri) and Slipi, among others, while Jackal Holidays lists Blora, Cikini, Pancoran, Rasuna Said Kuningan and Semanggi (Hotel Kartika Chandra) ([Jackal outlets](https://www.jackalholidays.com/outlet)).

If you are staying near an MRT or TransJakarta line, a pool on that line removes the riskiest part of the trip. Allow more time than the map suggests in weekday rush hours, and remember that most operators forfeit the ticket if you are late.

## Can you take a shuttle straight from Soekarno–Hatta airport to Bandung?

Yes. Cititrans and Jackal Holidays publish Soekarno–Hatta–Bandung routes, and Lintas lists terminal pick-up points. Jackal advertises 24-hour departures from Terminals 2 and 3, every 30 minutes for most of the day, at Rp185,000–200,000. A shuttle avoids Halim and Whoosh altogether, but it depends on toll-road traffic.

Jackal Holidays’ [airport page](https://www.jackalholidays.com/airport) gives the clearest instructions: Terminal 1 pick-ups at the Kalayang (Skytrain) shelter, right-hand entrance, from 07:30 to 23:30; Terminal 2 at arrivals 2F, Gate 6, by the DAMRI bus shelter, 24 hours; and Terminal 3 domestic arrivals, Gate 5, ground floor near Bank BRI, 24 hours. Its airport shuttles run to Dipatiukur 89, Pasteur, Buah Batu, Kiaracondong and Jatinangor, with regular fares of Rp185,000–200,000 (checked 16 October 2026).

Cititrans lists Executive services from Terminals 1A, 1B, 2F and 3 (domestic and international) to Dipati Ukur and Pasteur, plus an Airport Shuttle between Terminals 1, 2 and 3 and Dipati Ukur ([Executive](https://www.cititrans.co.id/en/executive-shuttle), [Airport Shuttle](https://www.cititrans.co.id/en/airport-shuttle)). Its Bandung pool on Jl. Soekarno-Hatta also runs Executive and Regular shuttles to the airport. Lintas Shuttle lists Terminal 1B, 2F and 3 points on [mylintas.co.id](https://mylintas.co.id/); confirm your Bandung pool when you book.

Book a departure that allows for immigration, baggage and the walk to the pick-up point, and read the operator’s rule for missed departures before you pay, because most forfeit late passengers’ tickets. If your flight lands late in the evening, compare an overnight near the airport using our [Jakarta airport to Bandung guide](/guides/jakarta-airport-to-bandung).

| Terminal | Operator and pick-up point | Hours (as published) | Map |

## How much luggage can you bring on a Jakarta–Bandung shuttle?

Less than on a train. Cititrans and Jackal allow one under-seat bag plus one cabin-size case of 55 × 40 × 25 cm; Baraya and Lintas allow a case up to 24 inches, Baraya with a 7 kg cap; Daytrans allows one 10 kg hand carry, not a suitcase. Bigger bags cost extra or travel as cargo.

Cititrans’s [terms](https://www.cititrans.co.id/en/terms-and-conditions) allow two pieces on Executive and Regular shuttles: a handbag stored under the seat and one cabin suitcase up to 55 × 40 × 25 cm, loaded first come, first served. If the hold is full, the case follows on the next departure, and oversize bags are charged as cargo. Jackal Holidays sets the same 55 × 40 × 25 cm cabin-case limit plus an under-seat bag ([terms](https://www.jackalholidays.com/syaratketentuan)).

Baraya allows one backpack and one suitcase up to 24 inches (43 × 23 × 63 cm) weighing no more than 7 kg ([terms](https://www.baraya-travel.com/snk)). Lintas allows one suitcase up to 24 inches and one personal bag such as a laptop or camera bag, and charges for anything larger ([mylintas.co.id](https://mylintas.co.id/)). Daytrans’s [terms](https://www.daytrans.co.id/syarat-ketentuan) allow only one 10 kg hand carry that is not a suitcase, with extra charges above that.

A typical checked suitcase from a long-haul flight breaks every one of these limits. If you have one, ask the operator about excess charges before booking, or take the train, where KAI’s free allowance is 20 kg. A car with driver is simplest for families with several large cases.

| Operator | Allowance (as published) | If you exceed it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Cititrans (Executive and Regular) | One under-seat handbag plus one cabin case up to 55 × 40 × 25 cm | Extra charge or carried as cargo; may follow on the next departure if the hold is full |
| Jackal Holidays | One under-seat handbag plus one cabin case up to 55 × 40 × 25 cm | Charged as cargo or parcel; may follow on a later departure |
| Baraya Travel | One backpack plus one case up to 24 in (43 × 23 × 63 cm), maximum 7 kg | Baggage fee at the operator’s rate |
| Lintas Shuttle | One case up to 24 in plus one personal bag | Baggage fee above 24 in |
| Daytrans | One hand carry up to 10 kg, not a suitcase | Extra baggage fee |
| KAI train, for comparison | 20 kg and 100 dm³ (70 × 48 × 30 cm), up to four items | Fee per kg up to 40 kg or 200 dm³ |

## How long does the Jakarta–Bandung shuttle take, and when is traffic worst?

Allow two and a half to three hours in normal traffic via the Jakarta–Cikampek and Cipularang toll roads, but more than five when it jams. Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons are the worst times, along with long weekends and Lebaran. Travel early in the morning or late in the evening if you can.

Jawa Pos put the normal drive at 2.5 to 3 hours and warned that weekend jams, often between Purwakarta and Karawang and especially on Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons, can stretch it beyond five hours ([9 March 2026](https://www.jawapos.com/travelling/2603090277/5-rute-bandung-jakarta-agar-terhindar-macet-akhir-pekan-lengkap-tips-waktu-dan-berangkat)). It suggested leaving before 07:00 or after 21:00. Shuttles share those roads, so their journey time moves with the traffic, not the timetable.

The Bandung end has its own pinch point. On a June 2025 holiday weekend, Jasa Marga reported queues at the Pasteur interchange, where traffic from Cileunyi and Pasteur merges, and congestion near the KM 125, KM 97 and KM 88 rest areas ([Metro TV, 29 June 2025](https://www.metrotvnews.com/read/NgxCDjEZ-arus-balik-libur-panjang-tol-cipularang-dan-padaleunyi-padat)). Pasteur pools are quick to reach from the toll road but sit right where that queue forms.

Ignore claims that the new Jakarta–Cikampek II Selatan toll road makes Jakarta–Bandung a 45-minute drive: the 45–50 minutes applies only to Jatiasih–Sadang, and Detik calculated about 125–130 minutes from Jatiasih to Bandung in normal traffic ([Detik, 31 January 2026](https://oto.detik.com/berita/d-8333840/jakarta-bandung-nggak-mungkin-45-menit-lewat-tol-japek-ii-selatan-ini-hitungannya)). For a fixed time, such as a flight, Whoosh or the KAI train is more predictable.

## How do you book a Jakarta–Bandung shuttle, and should you use an agent?

Operators sell seats on their own apps and websites, which show every pool and schedule, let you choose a seat and apply the operator’s refund terms. Agents such as 12Go add an English checkout and familiar card payment; whichever you use, confirm the operator, exact pool and departure time on the ticket, and watch the booking windows.

Cititrans sells on its website and app or at pool counters, publishes schedules only 14 days ahead, and requires immediate payment for departures more than six hours away ([terms](https://www.cititrans.co.id/en/terms-and-conditions)). Lintas takes bookings up to a month ahead and cancels unpaid bookings after two hours. Daytrans, Baraya and Jackal Holidays all take bookings on their websites and apps.

Published fares give a sense of price (checked 16 October 2026). Daytrans showed Bandung–Jakarta schedules from Rp120,000 between Cihampelas and Blora or Cilandak Town Square, and from Rp132,000 to Kuningan; Jackal Holidays quoted Rp185,000–200,000 for Bandung–Soekarno–Hatta; and Cititrans sold four-trip Jakarta/Tangerang/Depok–Bandung vouchers for Rp700,000. Prices vary by time and promotion, so check the live fare.

If you use 12Go or another agent, compare its price with the operator’s own site for the same departure and save the operator’s contact number. Your ticket must show the pick-up point exactly as the operator names it, because several brands use similar names for different pools.

## Shuttle, Whoosh, KAI train or car with driver: which is best for Jakarta to Bandung?

Pick the shuttle when both your addresses sit near pools or you are leaving straight from Soekarno–Hatta. Pick Whoosh for the fastest rail leg from Halim, the Parahyangan for centre-to-centre reliability from Gambir, and a car with driver for groups with heavy luggage. Weekend traffic makes road options least predictable.

Whoosh’s high-speed leg takes 36 to 44 minutes, with trains every 20 to 30 minutes, according to [KCIC](https://kcic.co.id/), but it runs from Halim ([Open in Google Maps](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Stasiun%20Whoosh%20Halim%2C%20Jakarta)) to Padalarang ([Open in Google Maps](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Stasiun%20Whoosh%20Padalarang%2C%20Bandung%20Barat)), which has a feeder train to Bandung station, or to Tegalluar east of the city. Our [Whoosh guide](/guides/jakarta-to-bandung-whoosh) works through those connections.

The KAI Parahyangan takes 2 hours 52 minutes to 3 hours 13 minutes from Gambir ([Open in Google Maps](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Stasiun%20Gambir%2C%20Jakarta)) to Bandung station ([Open in Google Maps](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Stasiun%20Bandung%2C%20Bandung)) in the city centre, from Rp100,000 in Economy on KAI’s search for 10 November 2026. Shuttles take 2½ to 3 hours pool to pool in normal traffic and are often the easiest option from Soekarno–Hatta with luggage that fits their limits. A car with driver uses the same roads but goes door to door.

For two people with cabin bags travelling midweek between pools, the shuttle is usually good value. For a fixed appointment in central Bandung, the train is more predictable. For four people with checked luggage, price a car with driver against four shuttle seats plus taxis at both ends, and see the [airport-to-Bandung guide](/guides/jakarta-airport-to-bandung) if you are arriving on an international flight.

## What should you check before your shuttle leaves?

Confirm the exact pool name and address on your ticket, arrive 15 to 30 minutes early depending on the operator, carry ID that matches the booking, and keep luggage within the published limit. Most operators treat late passengers as no-shows and keep the fare, and peak-season tickets may be fully non-refundable.

Check-in times differ: Cititrans and Jackal Holidays want you at the pool 30 minutes before departure, while Daytrans, Baraya and Lintas ask for 15 minutes. Cititrans and Jackal say late arrivals forfeit the ticket without a refund, and Daytrans treats no-shows as cancelled. During Lebaran 2026, Cititrans made all tickets for 13–29 March final, with no reschedules or refunds, and advised arriving 45 minutes early ([terms](https://www.cititrans.co.id/en/terms-and-conditions)).

Save the pool’s map link and the operator’s call-centre number offline. Cititrans asks you to check that your ticket shows your personal details as on your ID, plus the schedule and departure point; Jackal requires a valid e-ticket showing your name, departure point, seat and QR code, and confirms passengers at virtual pick-up points by WhatsApp, so keep your phone on.

Finally, plan the last mile in Bandung. Pools are at malls, petrol stations and offices, not hotels, and rain or evening traffic slows the final ride. If you are heading on to Lembang or Ciwidey, our [Bandung destination guide](/destinations/bandung) and [Getting around Bandung](/guides/getting-around-bandung) cover the options.

- Ticket shows the operator, the exact pool (pick-up rather than drop-off point) and the departure time.
- Map link to the pool saved offline.
- Luggage measured against the operator’s limit.
- Payment confirmed, not just a reservation code.
- Arrival buffer: 30 minutes for Cititrans and Jackal Holidays, 15 minutes for Daytrans, Baraya and Lintas.
- A plan for the Bandung last mile and your hotel’s check-in time.
