# San Francisco SFO Lounge 2026: Access Paths by Terminal

Educational SFO lounge guide — United Polaris, Centurion, Virgin Clubhouse and Priority Pass paths. TravelShifu has not visited; no Priority Pass affiliate.

> Educational guide — we earn nothing from lounge operators on this page. Priority Pass is mentioned only as a publicly documented access path; TravelShifu has no commissioned Priority Pass CTA while the programme ID remains unset. Sources are desk research; verify live before travel.

## Which lounge access paths exist at San Francisco International (SFO)?

SFO lounge access tracks terminal campuses: United Polaris and United Club for eligible UA travellers, Centurion where card terms qualify, Virgin Clubhouse and other airline rooms by terminal. Priority Pass may list selected contract lounges — confirm terminal first. Desk research only; TravelShifu has not visited. Not for everyone — confirm it fits your dates and risk tolerance.

**Editorial boundary:** We have not lounged at SFO. No invented ratings, shower scores or queue times.

## How does Priority Pass work at San Francisco International — and does TravelShifu earn from it?

Priority Pass can be a documented access path into selected SFO contract lounges when both your membership and the live directory agree for your terminal. It is not a substitute for United Polaris or Centurion access. TravelShifu has no commissioned Priority Pass CTA while the programme ID remains empty.

Confirm landside vs airside and terminal on the operator listing before you walk.

Guest and visit-cap rules still apply — check your membership tier terms.

Honesty note: affiliate link not configured — we earn nothing from Priority Pass referrals today.

- Educational mention only — no commissioned CTA
- Verify live Priority Pass directory for your terminal
- Airline status often beats burning a PP visit

- Programme ID unset — we earn nothing from Priority Pass

## Who gets in via status or cabin at San Francisco International?

Status and cabin access usually means United Polaris / United Club for eligible UA travellers, issuer Centurion when card terms qualify, Virgin Clubhouse for qualifying Virgin Atlantic passengers, and other airline lounges for their own premium cabins. Economy without status needs a qualifying card benefit, prepaid pass or a listed Priority Pass contract lounge.

Polaris eligibility is not the same as United Club — match product to ticket.

International Terminal vs domestic terminals matter; wrong-building walks erase lounge time.

## When is arriving early for a San Francisco International lounge worth it?

Worth arriving early when you hold confirmed Polaris, Centurion or long-haul premium access and will use dining or showers. Less compelling if you only need a charging seat the terminal already provides near many gates. Long-haul international banks with confirmed access remain the clearest case.

Long-haul international banks with confirmed access remain the clearest case.

Leave walking time from lounge to remote gates after security.

## When is a San Francisco International lounge not worth chasing?

Skip when your dwell is short, when you lack confirmed eligibility, or when you expected Priority Pass to open a Polaris or Centurion room it does not. Skip inventing a rush for a lounge you cannot enter. Do not confuse public terminal seating with airline lounge access.

Verify live operator and airline pages the week you fly.
