# Where to stay in Lisbon

Four Lisbon hotels we have read the guest data on — a five-star spa on Avenida 5 de Outubro, a four-star and a three-star in Parque das Nações, and a three-star on Avenida de Roma — with the complaints written as plainly as the praise.

## Verdict

Stay in Parque das Nações if the Oceanário and Oriente are the week; stay on Avenida de Roma if Roma Metro at 0.2 km is the product; stay on Avenida 5 de Outubro if you want a five-star spa and accept the softest guest headline in this sample.

Three of the four properties carry POI rows. Tivoli Oriente puts the Oceanário at 0.9 km and Gare do Oriente at 0.6 km; Ikonik puts the Oceanário at 0.7 km and Oriente Station at 0.6 km; Hotel Roma puts Roma Metro at 0.2 km and Avenida da Liberdade at 2.8 km. VIP Grand Lisboa has no POI rows in the ingest — we do not invent kilometre claims for that pin.

Guest scores are high on three properties and softer on the five-star. Ikonik and Hotel Roma both post 8.8 out of 10 from more than 11,000 reviews; Tivoli posts 8.7 from 10,482; VIP Grand posts 7.9 from 6,088 with room-maintenance and amenity inconsistency named. We cite scale, count and date — never as structured data.

Nothing on this page quotes a nightly rate. We hold no live rates — the CTAs send you to Booking.com, Agoda, Trip.com or Vrbo. Those are partners; the links may earn commission.

## Which area of Lisbon is best for a first visit?

Parque das Nações if the Oceanário, Oriente and airport access are the week; Alvalade if Roma Metro practicality matters more than Expo-side walks; Avenidas Novas if you specifically want the five-star spa pin. None of these four is an Alfama doorstep stay — Belém and the castle sit several kilometres out on the POI rows we have.

## Is Parque das Nações too far from the historic centre?

For a tram-and-Alfama week, yes — Praça do Comércio is 4.8–5 km and Castelo de São Jorge 6–6.2 km from Tivoli and Ikonik on our hotel data provider’s figures. For Oceanário mornings, Oriente trains and airport hops, it is the cleaner map.

## Should I book Lisbon hotels direct or through a booking site?

It varies by property and by date, which is why we never quote a nightly rate here. Check the partner link for your dates, then check the hotel’s own site before you confirm. Booking.com, Agoda, Trip.com and Vrbo are partners; those links may earn commission.

## Why do you show guest scores but never a star-rating snippet in search results?

Because the scores are not ours. Every review number on this site comes from a supplier’s aggregate. We show the supplier score plainly, attributed and dated, and we never emit it as structured data.

## Tivoli Oriente or Ikonik Lisboa for Parque das Nações?

Tivoli if indoor pool, spa and breakfast praise matter; Ikonik if the higher 8.8 headline from 11,566 reviews and a leaner amenity list suit you. Full comparison: /hotels/lisbon/compare/tivoli-oriente-lisboa-hotel-vs-ikonik-lisboa.
