Four Madrid hotels we have read the guest data on — three around Sol and Gran Vía, one on the Paseo del Arte — with Letoh’s missing star rating and flat-10 caveats written as plainly as the praise.

## Verdict

Stay around Sol if Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor are the map; stay on Gran Vía for the same centre with a different price band; stay near Atocha if the Prado and Reina Sofía are the week.

Three of the four properties sit in the Sol / Gran Vía core on our hotel data provider’s figures — UMusic Hotel Madrid puts Puerta del Sol at 0.2 km and the Prado at 1 km; Hotel Regina puts Sol at 0.3 km and Gran Vía at 0.2 km; Letoh Letoh Gran Vía puts Gran Vía at 0.4 km and Plaza de España metro at 0.2 km. Axel Hotel Madrid puts the Prado at 0.2 km and Atocha station at 0.1 km. That is centre versus museum mile, not four versions of the same walk.

Guest scores in this sample disagree with their own prose more than once. UMusic posts flat 10s from 4,873 reviews while naming HVAC noise and check-in issues; Letoh carries no official star_rating in the property’s records and scores room quality 8.09 with small rooms as a named con.
