Same shortlist for a first Valletta stay, opposite products. One is luxury outside the gate with the only POI distance set in our seed; the other is midrange centre with the higher supplier rating. That is a real either/or.

Facilities split cleanly. Excelsior lists spa, indoor/outdoor pools, private beach, restaurant, bar, family rooms and airport shuttle. Osborne lists fitness, pool, restaurant, bar and family rooms — no spa, no shuttle, no private beach. Excelsior’s own notes add spa charges and seasonal outdoor works; budget for that honesty.
Practical edges: Osborne checks in from 02:00 PM and out at 11:00 AM; Excelsior from 03:00 PM and out at 12:00 PM. Both associate MLA in the property records except where noted; both are independent.
