Privacy Complaints Procedure
Effective: 30 July 2026
Email [email protected] with the subject “Data protection complaint”. This route is free to use and is also available for complaints made on another person’s behalf with appropriate authority.
What should I include?
- Your name and a reliable way to reply.
- A short description of what happened and when.
- The TravelShifu page, message or data involved, if known.
- The outcome you would like us to consider.
Do not email passport copies, payment-card details or other unnecessary sensitive documents. If identity or authority must be verified, we will explain a proportionate and secure method.
What happens after I complain?
- Acknowledgement: we will acknowledge receipt within 30 days.
- Investigation: we will investigate without undue delay and may ask focused questions needed to understand the issue.
- Updates: if the investigation remains open, we will keep you appropriately informed of progress.
- Outcome: we will communicate the result without undue delay, including relevant reasons and any action or remedy.
- Record: we will keep an appropriate complaint and outcome record for accountability, security and legal needs.
Can I complain to a regulator?
Yes. In the UK you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Using this internal procedure does not remove that right. If another supervisory authority is competent for your complaint, you may contact that authority instead.
