Cookie and Storage Policy

Last updated: 7 September 2026

TravelShifu uses limited device-local storage to remember your choices. Optional Stay22 and impact.com affiliate functionality and Google Analytics are blocked by default. They load only after you choose “Accept optional” or allow the relevant purpose in Privacy settings.

My Trip starts in memory. A device copy is written only when requested. Optional affiliate and analytics loaders are suppressed on the workspace and when a saved My Trip copy is detected, even if you previously allowed them. The saved copy is not encrypted; avoid sensitive information and shared-device use. Removing it does not remove your downloaded backups.

The TravelShifu local-storage items stay on the device and are not automatically sent with web requests in the way cookies are. Remembering your consent choice and requested interface preferences is treated as necessary storage. If you allow optional affiliate functionality, Stay22 and impact.com may access online identifiers or other data under their own policies. If you separately allow analytics, Google Analytics may set the cookies listed above. The site remains readable if you reject optional technology or browser storage is unavailable.

Stay22’s current description of its technologies is available in its cookie policy. That external policy can change, so check it before relying on a stated duration or supplier list.

impact.com describes its publisher-tag and identifier processing in its privacy policy. Its external policy and retention periods can change.

Google explains GA4 cookie purposes and current default durations in its GA4 cookie notice. TravelShifu disables advertising storage and advertising-personalisation signals in its tag configuration.

Which optional technologies can I choose?

One optional affiliate category controls both services. Stay22 LetMeAllez can convert compatible accommodation links, route a visitor to a suitable regional booking domain and measure a referral. impact.com’s publisher tag can convert eligible direct advertiser links for programmes TravelShifu has joined and measure page-level affiliate impressions and referrals. A separate analytics choice controls Google Analytics page-view and session measurement. The Google tag is not loaded if analytics is blocked.

Affiliate links and partner storage

A manually configured button labelled “Ad · affiliate link” opens another organisation’s site and does not need optional affiliate scripts to load on the TravelShifu page. If allowed, Stay22 may convert compatible accommodation links and impact.com may convert eligible advertiser links. The top-of-page funding notice discloses that possibility before site content. A booking destination may use its own cookies, affiliate-attribution parameters or similar technologies; its consent interface and privacy notices govern what happens there.

How do I reset my choices?

Choose Privacy settings in the footer, select Block or Allow for either purpose, then save. Turning an active optional purpose off reloads the page so its third-party scripts stop for the current visit. Reset choices removes the saved decision and asks again. You can also clear TravelShifu and third-party site data in your browser; browser controls can separately block storage.

What if another technology is introduced later?

This policy and the on-page controls must be updated before another non-exempt technology is enabled. Where consent is required, it will be requested before the technology loads, with equally accessible accept and reject choices, purpose-level information, relevant third parties and an equally easy withdrawal route. TravelShifu will not treat continued browsing, silence or a pre-ticked control as consent.
