Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: July 15, 2026
Links on this page and across TravelShifu may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. We do not provide financial, legal or insurance advice.
TravelShifu is owned and operated by Elite Digital AI Solutions Ltd, registered in England & Wales, Company No. 17250017.
TravelShifu is reader-supported. When you click certain links on this site and complete a booking or purchase, we may earn an affiliate commission from the partner — at no additional cost to you. This disclosure is provided in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR Part 255 ("Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising") and equivalent international advertising standards.
How do affiliate links work on TravelShifu?
TravelShifu is an independent, advertising-supported comparison and editorial service that lets you compare flights, hotels, tours, transport, insurance and travel products. Some outbound links are affiliate links containing a tracking identifier (a "marker"). If you click one and complete a qualifying transaction on the partner's website, that partner pays a commission to our affiliate network, which shares it with us. The price you pay is identical whether or not you use our link; commissions are paid from the partner's marketing budget.
Who is Travelpayouts and why do we use one network?
We monetize primarily through Travelpayouts (travelpayouts.com), the largest travel-specialist affiliate network. One account gives us access to 30+ travel brands under a single tracking ID, and the network pays publishers 50–70% of the commission it receives from each brand.
Do you use other affiliate networks?
Yes, in clearly-labeled supporting roles. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases — gear recommendations link to Amazon UK and Amazon US with tagged links (rel="sponsored nofollow"), and prices are never hardcoded because Amazon prices change; always check the current price on Amazon. We are also a publisher on the Awin affiliate network, through which we may earn commission from partners such as TheFork (restaurant reservations) and Holiday Extras (UK airport parking, lounges and hotels). Travelpayouts remains our primary network; Awin and Amazon links are identified in code with data-affiliate-partner attributes and the same on-page disclosure microcopy.
Which partners does TravelShifu earn from?
Our current Travelpayouts partners include, but are not limited to:
- Flights: Aviasales, Kiwi.com, CheapOair, Trip.com, WayAway
- Hotels & stays: Booking.com, Agoda, Hotellook, Hostelworld
- Tours & activities: GetYourGuide, Viator, Klook, Tiqets
- Ground transport: 12Go, Omio, Rail Europe, Busbud
- Car rental & transfers: DiscoverCars, EconomyBookings, Localrent, KiwiTaxi, GetTransfer
- Insurance & compensation: Ekta, Insubuy, VisitorsCoverage, AirHelp
- eSIM & connectivity: Airalo, Yesim, Drimsim
- Extras: Radical Storage, Priority Pass, Holiday Extras (Awin), Amazon (Associates)
- Dining: TheFork (Awin)
Indicative network rates: flights pay rev share up to 70%; hotels 4–7%+; tours and activities 7–12%; eSIMs 10–15%; insurance and compensation services 5–15%. Rates change at the network's discretion. Affiliate links are identified in our code with rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" and accompanied by on-page disclosure microcopy such as "We may earn a commission at no extra cost to you."
Does compensation influence your recommendations?
No. Editorial rankings, comparison tables and recommendations are determined by our editorial team based on first-hand research, user experience, pricing and service quality. Partners cannot pay for placement, higher rankings or favorable coverage, and we decline partnership terms that require them. Where multiple partners serve the same need, we present alternatives and disclose who leads each category and why — commission never decides our editorial ranking.
Is TravelShifu a travel agent, insurer or broker?
No. TravelShifu publishes general travel information and comparisons — we are not a travel agency, merchant of record, insurer, broker or claims handler, and we do not provide regulated financial, legal or insurance advice. When you book or buy via a partner link, your contract, consumer protections and any disputes are with that partner directly.
A note on credit cards: our card guides are strictly educational. TravelShifu is not a financial adviser, holds no credit-card affiliate approvals and earns no commission from any card issuer. UK credit promotion is FCA-regulated; always check issuer terms and eligibility checkers. 18+, subject to status.
What are my responsibilities as a reader?
Prices, availability, visa rules, insurance terms and compensation regulations change frequently. Always verify details on the partner's own website before booking, and read the terms of any insurance or financial product before purchasing.
