One is the family-and-pool answer on Odaiba; the other is the sensible Shinjuku base nine minutes from the world’s busiest station. They are not substitutes on a map, but they are the two options readers actually weigh when deciding whether Tokyo should be a resort night or a rail hub.

Room quality and cleanliness belong to the Grand Nikko: 9.5 and 9.5, against 8.1 and 7.6 at Sunroute Plaza. In a city where small rooms are the default complaint, that gap is the whole argument for paying five-star rates on the bay.
Location runs the other way, and not by a little. Sunroute scores 9.6 against the Grand Nikko’s 8.5, and the Grand Nikko’s own guest analysis names "location far from attractions". Shinjuku Station is 0.6 km from Sunroute; Sensō-ji is 9.8 km from the Grand Nikko.
Facilities separate them cleanly. The Grand Nikko lists a swimming pool, a gym and a spa; Sunroute lists neither a gym nor a pool. Sunroute’s complaints are cleanliness issues and room-size inconsistency; the Grand Nikko’s are an overpriced breakfast and the distance.
Both check in from 03:00 PM and out by 11:00 AM, and neither publishes a latest arrival time. Confirm late arrivals directly at either.
