Aeroplan award prices for every route we checked, from North America to London and Europe and within North America, verified August 2026.

Key takeaways

How many Aeroplan points do you need to fly to London?

Link to this answer

Aeroplan prices flights on partner airlines with a fixed distance-based chart, so most North America to London routes cost the same number of points in economy. Flights operated by Air Canada are priced dynamically instead. The tables list every route we checked in August 2026 with its verified price.

Some partners add carrier surcharges to the points price, which can erase the saving on otherwise cheap routes — check the cash component before you transfer.

Aeroplan changed parts of its chart in June 2026; each row records the chart it was checked against.

How do you book one of these Aeroplan awards?

Link to this answer

Search your exact dates in the Aeroplan award tool first, note the price and any cash surcharges, then compare with the cash fare including bags. Only transfer bank points once saver space is confirmed, because transfers are usually instant and cannot be reversed.

Aeroplan shows partner and Air Canada flights side by side; the fixed chart applies only to partner-operated segments.

Price the whole trip, not one leg: an award that saves points outbound but forces an expensive cash return is rarely the win it looks like.

Award availability search guide covers calendar sweeps before any irreversible transfer.

  • Search the airline award tool for your dates
  • Compare against the all-in cash fare with bags
  • Check taxes, fees and carrier surcharges on the award
  • Transfer points only after space is confirmed

When is paying cash better than using points on these routes?

Link to this answer

Cash wins when a sale fare costs less than the taxes plus the value of the points you would spend, when saver seats are gone on your dates, or when peak pricing applies. A fixed chart makes the points side predictable; the cash side is what moves, so always compare both on the same day.

Value your points before you spend them — how to value points redemptions shows the pence-per-point sum.

Where do these award prices come from?

Link to this answer

Every price in the tables was checked in August 2026 against the Air Canada Aeroplan partner flight reward chart and recorded on the route's own page. Award charts change with little notice, so treat the tables as a starting point and confirm live pricing before you transfer any points.

This page replaces a set of near-identical single-route pages. Each route keeps its own verified figure here, in one table, instead of on a separate page repeating the same advice.
