Free under-seat bag and paid cabin bag sizes for Ryanair, easyJet and Wizz Air, with Norwegian, Aer Lingus and BA for contrast. Read on each airline's site, 25 September 2026.

Key takeaways

Which airline has the biggest free cabin bag: Ryanair, easyJet or Wizz Air?

easyJet. Its free under-seat bag is 45 × 36 × 20 cm, against 40 × 30 × 20 cm on Ryanair and 40 × 30 × 20 cm on Wizz Air. None of the three includes an overhead-locker bag on its cheapest fare; that bag is a paid extra or part of a bundle.

The free bag must fit under the seat in front, and all three airlines check it with a sizer at the gate. A bag that fits easyJet's allowance can be too big for Ryanair's, so a bag bought for one airline is not automatically safe on the others.

The table compares the published allowances on the cheapest fare. Every value was read on the airline's own website on 25 September 2026; the airline's page in the last column is the one to check before you fly.
