Is the EVA Air lounge at Taipei Taoyuan worth it?
Link to this answerThere are four, and the right one depends on your ticket and tier. Business passengers use The Infinity, Diamond members The Garden, Gold and Star Alliance Gold members The Star, and Silver members The Club. All four are airside on the fourth floor of Terminal 2, and all are open.
EVA’s Taoyuan airport page says its flights depart from Terminal 2 and that the lounges are on the fourth floor, reached by escalator after security and immigration. Facts on this page come from EVA Air, Star Alliance and Priority Pass pages checked on 17 October 2026; Taoyuan Airport’s own English lounge page could not be opened, so EVA’s directions are used.
For a business passenger with time to spare, The Infinity is worth arriving for, mainly for its showers and Chinese and Western food. For Silver members the answer depends on the clock, because The Club closes in the middle of the day.
Where are EVA’s lounges, and when are they open?
Link to this answerAll four are on 4F of Terminal 2. The Infinity and The Star open from 04:30 to 23:30, The Garden from 05:15 to 23:30, and The Club only from 05:30 to 10:00 and 16:00 to 21:30. The Star, Infinity and Garden share one side; The Club is on the right.
Departing passengers take either escalator up to 4F for The Star, The Infinity and The Garden, or the escalator on the right for The Club, which is on the right-hand side, per EVA’s airport page. Transfer passengers clear the transfer security check behind EVA’s transfer counter at the C gates, go up to the 3F departure level, cross to the central duty-free hall and take the escalator on its right to 4F; turn left for three lounges, right for The Club.
EVA does not make boarding announcements in its Taoyuan lounges while flights run to schedule, and it asks passengers to be at the gate 20 minutes before departure. Set your own alarm.
Which EVA lounge can you use, and can you bring a guest?
Link to this answerCabin decides The Infinity; Infinity MileageLands tier decides the other three. Diamond members bring two companions and children under 12, Gold members one companion and children under 12, and Silver members none. Star Alliance business passengers come alone, while Star Alliance Gold members may bring one guest on their flight.
Lounge assignments are on EVA’s pages for The Infinity, The Garden, The Star and The Club. Companion numbers for EVA-operated flights come from EVA’s membership benefit table, which also requires companions to travel on the same flight as the Diamond or Gold member.
For other Star Alliance airlines’ passengers, the Star Alliance access policy applies: international business passengers may not bring guests, first-class passengers may bring one, and Gold members may bring one guest on the same Star Alliance flight. EVA’s own pages do not list a cash entry price for any of the four lounges.

What does each EVA lounge offer?
Link to this answerThe Infinity lists Chinese and Western food, four shower rooms with separate wet and dry areas, a bar and a business centre. The Garden adds freshly made Taiwanese noodles under skylights. The Star has wide work tables and a vitality area. The Club serves hot and cold dishes with showers.
The Infinity page describes an urban-forest design with sky trees and curved walls, power outlets at most seats, Wi-Fi throughout, lockers, books and magazines, a dining bar, a bar, television and baby-changing facilities. The Garden has a high ceiling, skylights and foliage, a Western and Chinese buffet, a bar, a business centre, lockers and showers.
The Star uses a starry-sky theme, offers customised wide tables for work, a dining bar, a bar, a vitality area, lockers, baby changing and showers. The Club has an urban-skyline design, a modern dining area serving cold and hot Chinese and Western dishes, showers, power sockets and Wi-Fi.
If you already qualify, how early should you go up?
Link to this answerBusiness passengers can treat The Infinity as a place to eat and shower before a long flight, within its 04:30 to 23:30 hours. Silver members should check the clock first, because The Club is closed between 10:00 and 16:00. Everyone should leave for the gate in good time, as there are no announcements.
EVA publishes no maximum stay, so the limits are opening hours and the walk down from 4F to your gate. Gold and Diamond members have the most flexibility: The Star opens at 04:30 and The Garden at 05:15, and both close at 23:30.
EVA does not say where Silver members should go when The Club is closed. Its Silver card page notes that EVA will arrange a substitute if lounge space is unavailable; ask at check-in if your departure falls in the midday gap rather than finding out at the lounge door.
Can you pay or use miles to get into an EVA lounge?
Link to this answerMembers entitled to an EVA lounge can invite a companion on the same flight for 5,000 miles each at Taoyuan, Kaohsiung or Bangkok, subject to space. EVA lists no cash price. For travellers with no EVA route at all, Priority Pass lists three lounges in Terminal 2.
The Silver card page sets out the miles option: your own or transferred miles, 5,000 per companion, subject to lounge availability. EVA’s lounge pages add that during the 04:30–09:30 peak it temporarily suspends companion entry paid with miles for members above Silver, and asks travellers to check eligible lounges with staff.
Priority Pass lists the Oriental Club Lounge (open 24 hours), Plaza Premium Lounge The Crest in Zone A1 (05:00–21:00) and Plaza Premium Lounge The Terroir in Zone A (05:00–23:00) in Terminal 2, plus two Plaza Premium lounges in Terminal 1. Check in the app which of them your plan includes and whether guests pay extra.

Not eligible for any EVA lounge? What are the alternatives?
Link to this answerIn Terminal 2, Priority Pass lists the 24-hour Oriental Club Lounge and two Plaza Premium lounges in Zones A and A1. Holders of Star Alliance Gold through another airline already qualify for The Star or The Club. Otherwise, a companion with EVA status can invite you for miles.
The Priority Pass Taoyuan listing shows the Oriental Club Lounge in Terminal 2 with 24-hour hours, which makes it the only lounge on this page open through the night. Plaza Premium Lounge The Crest closes at 21:00 and The Terroir at 23:00.
If you are flying with an Infinity MileageLands Gold or Diamond member on the same flight, their companion allowance is the cheapest route of all. A Silver member can only bring you in by spending miles, and not at all between 04:30 and 09:30 if the peak rule applies.
How do EVA’s lounges fit Star Alliance travel through Taipei?
Link to this answerStar Alliance Gold members on any Star Alliance flight can use The Star, and Star Alliance first or business passengers can use The Infinity. EVA reserves The Garden for its own Diamond members. Status earned with another Star airline therefore gets you in, but not into the Diamond lounge.
This follows the general Star Alliance policy, which admits Gold members in any cabin to member airlines’ business-class lounges and admits international business passengers without guests. EVA applies it through The Star and The Infinity, and keeps The Garden for Infinity MileageLands Diamond members.

EVA Air lounge verdict by access path
Link to this answerBusiness passengers: yes, The Infinity is worth an early arrival for a meal and a shower. Gold and Diamond members: yes, with generous companion allowances. Silver members: only when The Club is open. Paying travellers: there is no EVA price, so Priority Pass lounges in Terminal 2 are the fallback.
EVA’s lounges are organised by status more than most, so the most useful thing you can do before flying is work out which of the four your ticket and tier point to. The table above does that; the lounge desk has the final say.
If your flight leaves at night, note that every EVA lounge closes by 23:30. Late departures after that rely on the 24-hour Oriental Club Lounge or gate seating.
